**Verified extract — [Fact — A1]** Kevin Bonham, Herald staff writer, reported on page 1 that Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls had been awarded a federal grant to establish an unmanned aerial systems maintenance training center. The NCTC Unmanned Aerial Systems Maintenance Training Center was being developed in cooperation with UND and Grand Forks Air Force Base. Northland President Anne Temte said the grant would position the college at the forefront of the developing industry with partners at the University of North Dakota and Grand Forks Air Force Base. The paper said the greater Red River Valley was fast becoming a national center, that Northland had a strong working relationship with UND's UAS Center of Excellence and Center of Innovation, and that the air base was transitioning to a UAV mission. The purpose of the Maintenance Training Center was to provide a nationally recognized primary UAS maintenance [program].
