Prime Air would use small drones (early work: octocopters) to deliver up to 2.3 kg within 30 minutes. Amazon statement: multiple development centres including Seattle and Cambridge. The same week Imperial College announced a 1.25 million pound two-storey drone lab and test arena (workshop, 3D printers, enclosed fly/swim arena, high-speed cameras) funded by an alumnus, directed by Dr Mirko Kovac, finishing in 2016.
