## 01. iRobot emerges private under Picea; iRobot Safe Corp created

**Verified record — [Fact — A1]** On 23 January 2026 iRobot Corporation completed its pre-packaged chapter 11 transaction with Shenzhen PICEA Robotics Co., Ltd. and Santrum Hong Kong Co., Limited. Picea acquired 100% of the equity. The company emerged private; all common stock and other pre-Effective-Date equity interests were cancelled, discharged, and extinguished. Headquarters remain Bedford, Massachusetts. The press exhibit states that Picea had been the primary contract manufacturer and secured lender. **No injury, death, or product recall** is stated in the exhibit. This is an ownership and data-governance event.

**Threat landscape.** Blocking a US/EU platform buyer in 2024 did not preserve an independent Western robot-vac champion. The residual owner is the contract manufacturer / secured lender. “Safe Corp” is the first post-bankruptcy data-governance theater in this class. The physical robot did not change; the trust path did.

## 02. EU registers PRC robot-mower imports for possible retroactive duties

**Product class.** Robotic lawn mowers

**Verified record — [Fact — A1]** Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/142 of 22 January 2026 directs Member State customs authorities, under Article 14(5) of Regulation (EU) 2016/1036, to register imports of electric robot mowers originating in the People’s Republic of China — machines capable of cutting grass without direct human control, including charging stations and boundary-wire or wireless navigation equipment — classified under CN code ex 8433 11 10 (TARIC 8433 11 10 10). Registration expires nine months after entry into force. The purpose, as written, is to allow anti-dumping duties, if any, to be levied retroactively if the legal conditions are later met. The proceeding follows a 3 October 2025 complaint by Husqvarna Manufacturing CZ s.r.o. on behalf of producers representing more than 25% of Union production. The complaint’s estimated dumping margins (21.4%–57.4%) and injury-elimination level (~125%) are recited for information only; the Commission “is not in a position to estimate the amount of possible future liability.” This is **not** a finding of dumping and **not** a product-safety action.
