**Verified record — [Fact — B1]** Nick Statt’s Verge review, 14 October: Cozmo is “$180,” “starts shipping on October 16th,” ages toward kids and early teens; emotion engine; face recognition; cubes; path planning; most compute on iOS/Android app / Anki servers, not in the chassis. Setup requires a special Cozmo Wi-Fi network; leaving the app sleeps the robot. A finished SDK is still “coming months,” not necessarily day-one in this review’s wording (July’s PCMag beta-on-launch remains the SDK date-lock; this review does not independently confirm SDK drop).
