Developed by AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Design Institute for the international market; an indigenous reconnaissance-strike UAV. Single engine, twin vertical tails, high-aspect-ratio mid-wing, retractable tricycle gear, piston engine; autonomous wheeled take-off/landing; multiple reconnaissance and electronic-warfare loads and small air-to-ground weapons; counter-terror, stability, and border-patrol missions. Export licence June 2009; exports began 2011; overseas users had accepted it. Airshow 13–18 November 2012; 39 countries, nearly 650 firms, more than 100 aircraft.
