## Record

**Verified extract — [Fact — A1]** Staff writer Oksana Grytsenko reported that the first people's drone — an unmanned reconnaissance aircraft crowd-funded by Ukrainians and assembled by volunteer IT specialists — had gone on a mission in Donetsk Oblast the previous week. David Arakhamia, head of a Kyiv IT company, said the drone cost $35,000 donated via narodniy.org.ua. A ready-made Israeli drone would have cost $165,000 and a U.S. one $120,000; activists had a frame built and the Zhytomyr Military Institute filled it with equipment, volunteers working free. The group planned 20 more drones with Kyiv Polytechnic University. The same volunteer network had raised more than Hr 1 million for 287 Mykolayiv paratroopers after Arakhamia visited poorly equipped troops at Chonhar.

**Kinematic object.** Volunteer-built unmanned reconnaissance aircraft (about $35,000) flown in Donetsk Oblast.

**Coverage frame.** military
