### BLUF

The first public year-end audit of surge ISR landed on 2 January: AP figures given to the Deseret News show unmanned hours and Predator monthly use more than doubling through 2007, with officials saying demand will not fall when brigades leave—the trust failure is a sensor economy that now outlives the troop surge that created it.

## 01. AP surge-ISR hours — demand outlives the brigade count

Air Force “more than doubled its monthly use of drones between January and October,” shifting manned pilots to remote duty (~120 Air Force pilots transferred; Guard call-ups).
