Health Canada published the Canadian twin of last month’s Aiper Seagull Pro recall and added a Canada-specific charging fire the CPSC page does not break out. The same month, Salzburg police and named newsrooms put a three-month-old in Piesendorf on the record after a robotic mower struck the child’s left hand. Brand not named. No official mower recall this month.

## 01. Health Canada twins the Seagull Pro recall and names a Canada fire

**Product class.** Pool-cleaning robots

**Verified record — [Fact — A1]** Health Canada published on **9 April 2025** a recall of the Aiper Seagull Pro **ZT6001** cordless robotic swimming-pool vacuum (serials beginning S/N “61”). Hazard: large-current adapter can overheat, posing burn and fire hazards. **2,606** units sold in Canada, July 2023–April 2024, through Best Buy Canada, Tanguay, and Amazon Canada (ASINs listed on the page). As of **27 March 2025**: **one** report of a vacuum catching fire in Canada while charging, **no property damage, no injuries**. Remedy: free Aiper Scuba S1; free return label. ## 02. Piesendorf — three-month-old on a blanket struck by a robotic mower

**Product class.** Robotic lawn mowers

**Verified record — [Fact — A1 / B1]** On **30 April 2025**, in a garden in **Piesendorf** (Pinzgau, Salzburg), a robotic mower struck a **three-month-old** lying on a blanket in the same meadow while the machine was cutting. Salzburg police: the robot drove at the infant and injured the child to an unspecified degree on the **left palm and fingers**. Red Cross emergency physician treated the child on scene; rescue helicopter **Alpin Heli 6** flew the infant with the mother to paediatric surgery at Uniklinikum Salzburg. Brand and model **not named**. Amputation is **not** stated. Police opened an investigation. SN quotes the hospital: “multiple Schnittverletzungen” (multiple cut injuries) on the hand; the operation went well; no lasting damage expected; wound was dirty and the child remained for antibiotics. That hospital sentence is contemporaneous to the 30 April pages.

**No fatality. No brand. No official recall this month.** May’s ORF follow-up (mother charged; “OP is gut verlaufen”) is out of this window and is not previewed as Fact.

**Threat landscape.** A supine infant on a blanket is below the obstacle profile the mower is built to treat as a lawn irregularity. The physical consequence is pediatric laceration. Brand opacity leaves the control fabric un-auditable from open sources. This is the second named Austrian robotic-mower infant case in twelve months (Klagenfurt, May 2024).
