CENELEC approved amendment A3 to the European robotic-mower safety standard on 22 March. That is a control rewrite, not an injury file. The Clean Base Canada dock recall remains the only official consumer-robot safety action still live. No CPSC, Health Canada, OPSS, or Safety Gate consumer-robot recall was found this month.

## 01. CENELEC approves EN 50636-2-107 A3

**Product class.** Robotic lawn mowers

**Verified record — [Fact — A1 / B1]** Amendment A3 to EN 50636-2-107:2015 was approved by CENELEC on 22 March 2021. The amendment text (opened via catalog extract) modifies moisture resistance, stability and mechanical hazards, mechanical strength, construction (working-area boundary, obstruction sensors, disabling devices), components, and heat/fire, and it rewrites the foot-probe and obstruction-sensor figures. Obstruction sensors in automatic mode must act in all travel directions except narrow exceptions; traction stop within \(t = D/v\); cutting-means stop if the sensor does not clear in 3 s. National implementation date (dop) 22 March 2022; conflicting standards withdrawn (dow) 22 March 2024. A3 aligns the EN with IEC 60335-2-107:2017+A1:2020.
