Global Hawk still an ACTD — Australia transit imminent *Event / publication dates: continuing ACTD; CRS later records the 22–23 April 2001 California-to-Australia flight as the first trans-Pacific UAV flight* **Verified record — [Fact — B1]** CRS RL31872, opened in full, states Global Hawk “claimed its place in history when it flew from California to Australia April 22-23, 2001, marking the first trans-Pacific flight by a UAV,” and that it remained in ACTD status. Air Force Magazine’s later “Eyes Wide Open” (opened) says that in early 2001 Global Hawk crossed the Pacific for exercises in Australia and that pictures were sharp enough to catch USS *Kitty Hawk* with an F/A-18 coming aboard; the deployment showed unrefueled 7,500-mile reach and in-flight retasking.
