**Verified extract — [Fact — B2]** Spiegel reported the Bundeswehr prestige project Euro Hawk — nearly 15 tonnes, 14.5 m long, 40 m span, carbon, 30 hours endurance, up to 25,000 km, 1.2 billion euro investment, intended to locate enemy missile/radar sites and intercept radio and television — would be at least one year late. The first of five was supposed to be ready since May. BWB confirmed the slip to Bild.de. BWB spokesman Max Mozer called it a technically very challenging first unmanned system of this size for the Bundeswehr. Green MP Omid Nouripour called late major projects a “traurige Tradition.” Intended employment: war and crisis regions such as Afghanistan.
