March put a commercially available remotely piloted aircraft on the Islamic State Act ledger: a 17 March coalition strike near Fallujah destroyed a small UAS after U.S. forces watched it fly about 20 minutes, land, and go into a car trunk — the first Pentagon-confirmed ISIS drone this archive can date.

## 01. 17 March — ISIS commercial UAS destroyed near Fallujah

**Verified record — [Fact — B1]** Military Times: “In what may be the first report of a drone operated by the extremists, U.S. military officials said an airstrike on March 17 destroyed a small unmanned aerial vehicle in the area around Fallujah.” Warren quotes as above. Unclear if real-time surveillance. “Difficult to tell exactly what they were using the drone for in this case.” Among 5,314 IS targets hit by U.S. and allied aircraft. [Uncertainty] Make/model, range, and whether a coalition UAV or a manned aircraft dropped the munition are not in the piece.

## 02. “Anyone can get” — the supply-chain judgment

## 04. CH-4-in-Iraq photos are rumor, not a March fetched primary

**Verified record — [Fact — C3]** This collection did not retrieve a March 2015 Iraqi MoD or manufacturer primary showing a CH-4. BBC’s October piece (fetched for that month) will say photos emerged in March — that is October’s memory, not this month’s Fact.

**Threat landscape.** Chinese armed-export MALE UAS would be a different Act class from the Fallujah model airplane.
