**Verified extract — [Fact — B2]** ABC Australia reported the United States had launched its first Predator drone strike in Libya as Misrata rebels claimed victory and Gaddafi troops retreated. Nato said the strike targeted a multiple rocket launcher used against civilians in Misrata. Captured government soldier Khaled Dorman, from a pickup, said: "We have been told to withdraw. We were told to withdraw yesterday." Another serviceman told a Reuters correspondent the government had lost control of Misrata. Rebel spokesman Gemal Salem said "Misrata is free. The rebels have won." Al Jazeera reported heavy fighting around a western Misrata hospital used as a pro-Gaddafi base; rebels said Yafran in the Western Mountains fell Saturday. Khaled Kaim said air strikes had made a "surgical" army solution fail and that tribes, not the army, would deal with Misrata. A British military spokesman said British warplanes had destroyed government armour near Misrata. Rebel spokesman Abdelsalam said pro-Gaddafi settlements were under 1 percent of the local population and that leaving forces had booby-trapped bodies, houses and cars.
