April opens a formal micro-UAS requirement: USAF BATMAV for battlefield airmen RSTA/BDA. That is an access change at the lowest tactical layer — a one-pound class air vehicle is about to become a program of record. MQ-9 early fielding is last month’s decision, not this month’s IOC.
