## Executive read

### BLUF

December is a live-view file, not an injury file. LG’s 20 December release puts Home-View (real-time camera feed to a phone) and Home-Guard (motion-triggered photos of the inside of a home) on HOM-BOT Turbo+. CES 2016 showcase; no US price this month. Jibo’s original December ship window closes without a dated named-newsroom delay item in this window.

### Key judgments

1. **[Assessment — Hi`è confidence]** LG / PR Newswire, 20 December 2015, names Triple Eye cameras, Home-View (“transmits a real-time feed to owners’ smartphones”), and Home-Guard (photos “of inside the home” when the unit “senses movement”). That is a surveillance-on-vac trust primary.
2. **[Assessment — High confidence]** No December CPSC, Health Canada, or RAPEX robotic-mower / robot-vac / kit-battery action was located. AL-KO Comfort A12/1562/15 (11 December) is a cordless walk-behind 38.4 Li, not a robotic mower.
3. **[Inference — Moderate confidence]** Jibo’s 2014/early-2015 “December 2015” ship promise lapses this month, but the first dated named-newsroom *delay* copy found is 2016. Do not invent a December delay signal. Do not import the 2019 funeral.

### Analytic labels
- **Fact** — verified reporting or primary record
- **Assessment** — analytic judgment
- **Inference** — reasoned but not directly observed
- **Uncertainty** — unresolved information gap

### Source grades
- **A1** — authoritative primary record / directly confirmed
- **B1–B2** — generally reliable and corroborated
- **C3** — useful but requires caution (typical for forums)

## 01. LG HOM-BOT Turbo+ — Home-View live feed and Home-Guard motion photos of a dwelling

*Event / publication dates: 20 December 2015 (LG / PR Newswire); CES 2016 showcase announced (out-of-window show)*

**Product class.** Robot vacuums / mop combos; security / home patrol robots (camera features)

**Verified record — [Fact — A1]** LG Electronics, Seoul, 20 December 2015: HOM-BOT Turbo+ will headline the CordZero lineup at CES 2016. “The camera located on the front of the unit enables other smart features such as Home-View and Home-Guard. The Home-View feature transmits a real-time feed to owners’ smartphones, enabling them to remotely control the vacuum and clean the home anytime, anywhere. The Home-Guard feature gives consumers extra security and peace of mind by sending photos of inside the home to a paired smartphone when the HOM-BOT Turbo+ senses movement.” Triple Eye™ cameras “record the surrounding area — including the ceiling.” Home-Joy: phone camera designates spots to clean. Robonavi dual-CPU navigation; Smart Inverter Motor “10-year warranty.” No US dollar price and no US street date are in the 20 December text. [PR Newswire](https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/new-lg-cordzero-vacuum-with-augmented-reality-coming-to-ces-2016-300195558.html). Same-week named-newsroom restatements: [TechSpot](https://www.techspot.com/news/63212-lg-latest-robotic-vacuum-doubles-home-security-camera.html); [SlashGear, 21 December](https://www.slashgear.com/lg-debuts-robo-vacuum-with-augmented-reality-home-security-features-21419418/).

No recall. No injury count. CES 2016 itself is January and is not previewed as Fact.

**Threat landscape.** A kinematic vac whose front camera is explicitly a remote eyeball and a motion-triggered still camera inside a dwelling. Physical harm not alleged. Trust boundary: live video and event photos leaving the home to a paired phone; no retention, encryption, or access-control numbers in the 20 December text.

**Forum / community notes.**
- none found.

**Intelligence assessment.** [Assessment — Hi`è confidence] Home-View and Home-Guard wording is manufacturer-stated. [Inference — Moderate confidence] This is a sharper surveillance primary than Roomba 980’s navigation camera or Dyson’s mapping eye, because LG names real-time feed and empty-house motion photos. [Uncertainty] Ship month, price, and what is stored in LG’s cloud are unpublished.

**Opportunity.** A US SKU, a privacy policy with retention, or a regulator camera-vac file.

**LRRK relevance.** Kestrel (live camera path). Passport: vac-as-security-camera. Watch: Turbo+ street date.

**Confidence.** High on the 20 December feature claims. Moderate on CES-as-next-step. Low on commercial volume and image retention.

## Forward indicators

1. HOM-BOT Turbo+ US price and street date (CES 2016 is next window).
2. Dyson 360 Eye US/EU 2016 ship.
3. Any 2016 CPSC consumer-robot recall.
4. First dated Jibo delay copy (not invented here).
5. First RAPEX robotic-mower alert citing EN 50636-2-107.

> **Collection integrity.** One signal. **Killed / excluded this month:** RAPEX A12/1562/15 (11 December 2015, Al-ko Comfort 38.4 Li) — cordless walk-behind, not robotic; CEC iRobot energy settlement remains November and is still not a safety recall; Jibo December ship miss without a dated 2015 named-newsroom delay item; 2016 Cozmo, 2017 maps-sale, 2018 Pertisau, 2019 Jibo funeral not imported. No invented Roomba CPSC recall. No named mower fatality. Forum empty.
