The MQ-9 Reaper flew its first operational mission over Afghanistan on 25 September—and Washington, the same month, ordered the Army’s Sky Warrior and the Air Force’s Predator onto one acquisition path. Hunter-killer persistence is now a combat fact; joint ownership is still a memo.

## 02. DepSecDef orders Predator and Sky Warrior onto one contract
