**Verified extract — [Fact — A1]** Raquel Arranz described the Parrot AR.Drone as a Wi-Fi quadcopter for iPhone: two cameras (frontal VGA 640×480 at 15 fps; downward QCIF 176×144 at 60 fps); 1,000 mAh battery giving 12 minutes' flight; 380 grams; carbon-fibre tubes and PA66 plastic; EPP protection hulls; cork propeller shrouds; six microprocessors, a three-axis accelerometer and two gyros. Take-off was a tap on iPhone, iPod touch or iPad; tilt to fly; release to stabilize. Autopilot held 80 cm altitude after take-off and landed the craft if a phone call arrived. Free App Store app AR.FreeFlight had beginner and expert modes. Third-party AR games included AR.Dronegate (augmented-reality base defence) and multiplayer AR.FlyingAce; software could detect other AR.Drones in flight and place markers on floor and walls. Spare motors, gears, propellers, hulls and cameras were sold on the web.
