Hours before release, a strike hit Mir Ali, North Waziristan; the Pakistani Taliban said nine fighters were killed. The page names the March 2011 Datta Khel strike (two drones, more than 40 dead including tribal elders and traders) and the June 2012 killing of Abu Yahya al-Libi.
