Invitation to comment: 6 April–3 May 2023, asking whether the transaction would create a relevant merger situation and a substantial lessening of competition in the UK. On 18 April the CMA published a section 96(2A) notice that the merger notice met statutory requirements; the initial period under section 34ZA(3) starts **19 April 2023**; the deadline to announce whether to refer to Phase 2 is **16 June 2023**.
