The year’s first official consumer-kinematic safety page is a yard dock, not a Roomba. STIHL recalled about 2,700 iMOW docking stations after a moisture short on the PCB: eight thermal overheats including two fires, no injuries.

## 01. STIHL iMOW docks — moisture shorts the PCB

**Product class.** Robotic lawn mowers (dock electrical)

**Verified record — [Fact — A1]** STIHL Incorporated recalled docking stations sold with autonomous iMOW mowers, models **RMI 422 / 522 / 632** (STIHL US also prints PC-L suffixes). Hazard: the dock’s printed circuit board “can short circuit when exposed to moisture, posing a fire hazard.” **About 2,700** units. Sold at authorized US dealers January 2017–July 2022 for $1,400–$2,600 (mower + dock). Serials: iMOW 437478902–443268968; dock 437475057–443268971. Remedy: free at-home repair; stop using the dock. Incidents: **eight** thermal overheats including **two** fires. **No injuries.** Manufacturer STIHL Tirol GmbH (Austria); importer STIHL Incorporated, Virginia Beach.
