The complaint alleges that on 27 January 2025 Ms. Gomez found cat Sarabi dead, partially inside a **PetPivot Autoscooper 11** (ACT-58TW AS11), motor still running, waste bin dislodged, torso crushed. Marketing as later quoted: remaining partially open; advanced safety sensors; automatic shutoff when a cat enters; Amazon listing that the device can operate safely without supervision. About $200; Christmas gift. *New York Post*, 21 June 2025, is the first named-newsroom item located; CEO Poppy Xie told the *Post* this was “the only fatal or serious safety incident” among “more than 100,000 units” — a company statement, not a finding. **One named cat death.
