**Verified extract — [Fact — A1]** Patxi Arostegi in Bilbao reported that Gipuzkoa firm Aerovisión, created in 2004 from Azti Tecnalia, Inasmet and Robotiker, had designed an unmanned aircraft to find tuna schools with video and still cameras over a 50 km area. Promoter Arturo Turrillas said freezer ships otherwise burn fuel steaming to a school. The Fulmar Mar prototype launches by catapult from a ship's deck under autopilot; 3 m span, 20 kg, 8-hour / 800 km endurance at 70 km/h, carbon-composite airframe, titanium and aluminium finish, 70 km/h wind tolerance. Infrared and daylight cameras; Turrillas said it can also photograph vessel registrations. Aerovisión had already used the system on Extremadura forest fires at night. A first market model was planned for 2011, with security-firm interest in refinery and pipeline perimeter control. An earlier Fulmar Tierra had been ordered by a Malaysian firm for Melaka Strait traffic.
