September broke the Navy's HALE Sense calendar and finished the civil authorization pipe: a VUP-19 MQ-4C Triton belly-landed in California, pausing the squadron, while on 13 September the FAA activated the last LAANC region — 288 ATC facilities and about 470 airports.

**Verified record — [Fact — B1]** USNI News, 14 September: Navy pauses operations of the MQ-4C Triton squadron after a crash-landing the previous week. Later USNI (21 September, used here only to confirm the stand-down that is still inside September) quoted Cmdr. Dave Hecht, Naval Air Force Atlantic: the Triton "had an issue during flight and the decision was made to bring it back to base. While heading in for landing, the engine was shut down but the landing gear did not extend. The aircraft landed on its belly on the runway. No one was hurt and there was no collateral damage." The April NAVAIR plan had been two Tritons to Guam by end-2018.
