The category leader entered a pre-pack toward its Chinese OEM, and a law firm opened a Whisker Litter-Robot investigation that is **not** a filed class action. Residual ownership, not a Roomba fire, is the December consumer-kinematic fact.

## 01. Whisker Litter-Robot 4 — investigation announced, not a class action

**Verified record — [Fact — A1]** On **4 December 2025**, Migliaccio & Rathod LLP published “Whisker Litter Robot 4 Sensor Investigation.” The firm says it is investigating “widespread sensor failures” in the Whisker Litter-Robot 4, including defective “drawer full,” weight, and safety sensors that “may cause the device to malfunction, shut down, or pose risks to pets.” Reported issues as listed: false drawer-full readings; cat-sensor faults; cycling loops or freeze mid-cycle; pinch-detection sensors that fail to respond; replacement sensors sold for about $50 after 12–18 months; BBB complaints. The page is a client-intake form. **No complaint, no docket number, no CPSC page, no Health Canada page.** This is **not** a filed class action. It is **not** *Gomez v. PetPivot*. **Threat landscape.** A premium kinematic enclosure whose advertised Sense function (lasers, weight, anti-obstruction) is now the subject of a law-firm investigation. Pet-safety is named as a concern, not as a counted injury. No official death or injury attaches to Whisker on this page.

## 02. iRobot RSA and pre-pack Chapter 11 with Shenzhen Picea — 14 December

**Verified record — [Fact — A1]** On **14 December 2025**, iRobot Corporation and subsidiaries iRobot US Holdings, LLC and iRobot Holdings LLC filed voluntary Chapter 11 petitions in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to implement a pre-packaged plan. The same day, prior to solicitation and filing, the company parties and Picea entered a **restructuring support agreement**. Picea is named as Shenzhen PICEA Robotics Co., Ltd. (formerly Shenzhen 3irobotix) and Santrum Hong Kong Co., Limited — secured lender and primary contract manufacturer. Under the plan as described, Picea receives **100 percent** of the reorganized equity; existing common stock is to be cancelled; Nasdaq listing ends. The company said it expected to complete the process by **February 2026**, with ordinary-course operations, app functionality, and customer support continuing. Headquarters narrative remains Bedford, Massachusetts. Emergence and the “iRobot Safe” US data subsidiary are **January 2026** facts and are **not** counted as December signals. They are forward indicators only.
