August put a NAVSEA-flavored UUV after-action into the defense press — NSCT-1, 24 March Umm Qasr, Az Zubayr, REMUS as the two-man 80-pound mapper — while the air and ground stacks stayed in an occupation grind that opened sources still describe more as Pioneer dirt-strips and PackBot searches than as a mature IED-robot war.
