### BLUF

September files three different failure modes. UK OPSS posted Honda Miimo as a serious stuck-sensor injury recall. Pennsylvania sued Digital Dream Labs over about 14,000 mostly unfulfilled prepaid companion-robot orders. Amazon’s Astro for Business reached its published 25 September cease-function date with a full hardware refund plus $300 — Home Astro is not this brick.

## 01. Honda Miimo — UK OPSS 2407-0132, stuck sensor, serious injury risk

**Verified record — [Fact — A1]** UK Office for Product Safety and Standards product recall **2407-0132**, Honda Miimo Robotic Lawn Mower. Alert type: product recall. Risk level: **Serious**. Product category: Machinery. Measure: recall from end users. Hazard summary: “The product presents a serious risk of injuries as the sensor may not detect objects in its path.”

Full hazard: “The product presents a serious risk of injuries as the Mount shaft of the sensor, due to repeated contact with obstacles over time, may experience a manufacturing defect where the sensor gets stuck and can fail to detect obstacles. The failure of detection sensors may cause injury to vulnerable people in the work area.” Does not meet the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

The page **does not state an injury or death count.** July’s French Rappel Conso fiche (in force 29 July) is the earlier official page; it is not re-filed here. Two documentary discrepancies vs France are left standing: UK labels a second HRM2500 range “HRM25000”; UK lists HRM4000 Live as MCPF1000050–MCPF1000050 where France lists MCPF-1000050 to MCPF-1003289.

**Threat landscape.** A named-brand obstruction/lift sensor that can stick after repeated obstacle contact. Sense fails mechanically; the blade is still allowed to treat the path as clear. Whether any named Austrian pediatric case was a Miimo is **not established**.

## 02. PA AG v. Digital Dream Labs — prepaid Vector / Cozmo / Butter, GD-24-010283

**Product class.** Toy / entertainment robots; educational / programmable kits (Vector 2.0, Cozmo 2.0, Butter Robot)

**Verified record — [Fact — B1]** Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry announced a civil suit against Pittsburgh-based Digital Dream Labs and CEO Harold Jacob Hanchar over “widespread failures to fulfill orders, issue refunds, or respond to consumer requests.” About **14,000** prepaid orders between November 2020 and January 2024 for Vector 2.0, Cozmo 2.0, and the Butter Robot; **most** unfulfilled; payments **$147–$655**; combined sales **more than $4 million**. The suit seeks restitution, civil penalties and costs, and to prohibit the company from accepting prepayment in Pennsylvania. ## 03. Astro for Business cease-function — 25 September; Home Astro is not this brick

**Verified record — [Fact — A1 / B1]** Amazon’s 3 July 2024 customer email, as published by *The Verge*, set **25 September 2024** as the date “your Astro for Business device will no longer function and your personal data will be deleted from the device.” Hardware: **$2,349.99**, launched November 2023. Remediation already stated in July: full refund of the device purchase to the original payment method (or Amazon credit if the card is gone); **$300 credit** “to help support a replacement solution for your workplace”; unused pre-paid Astro Secure fees refunded; Astro Secure charges stopped 3 July.
